RAINBOW CAIRNS
Shasta, California
THE STORY. . .
The world of engineering is quite interesting. Just look at all of the extraordinary architecture the human race has created throughout history. The Great Pyramids. The Eiffel Tower. The Golden Gate Bridge. You get the idea.
People are great at building things. And then there’s me. I spent three hours in this freezing river stacking rocks like a caveman. By some miracle, these little towers were able to fight off gravity long enough for me to get this shot. The image turned out nicely, and then the rocks promptly toppled into the river.
As long as I’m never allowed to be in charge of a major construction project, the human race is safe.
